Platform for textile lovers
We are a community of Slovak and Czech weavers, designers and textile technologists who united together to preserve traditional textile technologies and keep them alive but also to innovate textiles for practical use for the next generation.

It is important to sustain the material background and technical equipment. We repair old machines like old jacquard or classic dobby looms historical spinning wheels. We are currently using a historical weaving frame from Antonín Kybal, a great authority of Czech weaving of the 20th century. We are working on the revival of the jacquard loom, from 1906, which started industrial production in Slovakia. We also use weaving looms, which were custom made for us by the local manufacturers Mr Kubák and Mr Tauber.
NETWORKING
We come from Czech and Slovak textile tradition, which was in full bloom from 1900 to 2008. The entire textile production, industrial, artistic or craft-made, was at a high level and closely connected. Nowadays, reduced industrial possibilities bring new forms of communication and new challenges for production.
SAFE KNOW-HOW
Generational exchange is taking place, and as we are deeply aware of this, we are trying to connect with the older generation of technologists, craftsmen, weavers, dyers and textile artists. We collect objects and preserve their know-how, which will disappear irretrievably without the intervention of our generation.
